Frequently Asked Questions

Are you Insured?

Yes! I carry liability insurance and therefore I am able to photograph at most locations.  If a location should require proof of insurance, I am more than happy to provide it.

How long have you been a professional Photographer?

I have been in business for over 7 years and have dedicated a lot of time to learning and growing as a photographer.

Will you do large group photos?

Yep, absolutely! Although challenging and sometimes like herding cats, they are also equally fun and rewarding! I do not place a group limit on sessions.

Are you able to photograph kids with disabilities and behavioral issues?

Yes, of course! I am very easy going and always go at the kiddos pace. I want them to be comfortable and I want the parents to be at ease as well! Typically, time limits are not strict, and I take cues from the kids and parents. I want everyone to have a good experience.

Do you do pet portraits?

I basically have my own zoo at home LOL, so I would love to incorporate your pets! They are part of the family after all! For pet specific photos check out my pet portraits at Urban Tails Pet Portraits.

Can I choose my own location?

Absolutely! I'd prefer you choose your own location; however, I will always provide available options when requested. We have many options when it comes to beautiful parks and beaches! Please keep in mind when choosing a location that many locations will require that I obtain a permit. This is absolutely of course not an issue at all, I will just need a minimum of a week to obtain the required permit if necessary.

Do you charge Sales Tax?

In Florida, sales tax is only applicable to tangible items. I provide Digital Downloads from my site which are not taxable. Should you purchase a thumb drive or prints these items will be taxable.

Will I receive a print release?

Yes! I always provide a print release for personal use. This allows you to get your images printed wherever you choose.  I always highly recommend prints be printed at mpix.com. Smallwoods also makes absolutely beautiful large-framed prints. If you prefer Lab prints you are always welcome to purchase prints directly from your gallery for a nominal fee.

What equipment do you use?

I shoot Sony Full-Frame. A full frame camera is equivalent to a 35mm film camera. I own 2 Sony full-frame cameras along with many lenses.

What if it Rains?

Should the weather be less than ideal, I am very flexible with rescheduling. I will keep an eye on the weather and make a decision no later than an hour prior to our session.

What should I wear?

I always recommend staying away from plaid, stripes, logos and bright colors. Stay with neutral solid colors and of course dress comfortably. Please be mindful of sunglasses, hair ties, hats and accessories.
